After installing a couple of wire antennas in the trees we discovered that when one of us was transmitting the other couldn't receive anything but interference. I later learned that simultaneous operation of two radio transmitters in close proximity on separate bands will overload and desensitize the radio's receivers. A bandpass filter for each radio can be used to reduce this problem but the filter must be able to withstand the transmitter's power
